The Department of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences with its state of art facilities and outstanding team of doctors offers the highest quality of care.

Emergency Medicine

Amrita Hospital has been the torch bearer of this revolutionary change from the “MBBS doctor/CMO” managed casualty to ER managed by trained Emergency Medicine Physicians. With the first 3-year postgraduate training program (MD-Emergency Medicine) in Kerala, the Department of Emergency Medicine has grown into a reputed center for emergency care in India. 

ENT

The department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) is one of the most well-equipped departments with experienced faculty and instruments.

General Paediatrics

Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, where we are dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care for children under the age of 18 years.

General Surgery

The Department of General Surgery was formed in 2002 and is actively involved in the management of all general surgical problems including emergency services. The department is geared to offer teaching programs for both undergraduates as well as postgraduate students.

Geriatrics

Our society is rapidly undergoing change. Families are becoming nuclear. The vast majority of the young are moving away in search of jobs and careers. These include women who were traditional caregivers to the elderly. We are now facing a situation where the elderly are increasing in numbers and living longer while the number of care givers is rapidly decreasing.  

Infectious Diseases

The Infectious Diseases Department at Amrita Hospital provides comprehensive and advanced care for diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of infections. Our team of specialists is dedicated to helping you regain your health and well-being.

Integrative Medicine

Integrative Medicine provides an evidence-based, medical approach synchronizing Allopathic, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy under one roof at the Department of Integrative Medicine, Amrita Hospital echoes the statement, "The whole is more than the sum of its parts." 

Internal Medicine

The Department of General Medicine at Amrita Hospital, Kochi is one of the largest general medicine department in Kerala. Our department serves as a central hub for comprehensive medical care with special emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex medical illnesses. Also focussed on education and research to improve the patient outcome and advance medical knowledge. The department of General Medicine follows an integrated approach in inpatient and outpatient care and aims at providing seamless continuity from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. 

Microbiology

The Department of Microbiology aims to continuously strive for the highest possible standard in diagnostic services, teaching, and research activities. 

Neonatology

Since its inception in April 2002, the Department of Neonatology (accredited as Level III by the National Neonatology Forum, India) serves as one of the largest referral centres in Kerala for high risk neonates, including care for preterm infants from 23 weeks gestation.

Nephrology

The Department of Nephrology at Amrita Hospital, Kochi provides comprehensive health care for patients with different types of renal (kidney) diseases.  

Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear medicine is a subspecialty of medicine that uses medically approved radioactive tracers called radiopharmaceuticals to assess bodily functions and to diagnose and treat diseases. 

Obstetrics & Gynaecology

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department offers modern and comprehensive care for women of all ages, including diagnostic and treatment services, in a caring environment

Ophthalmology

The department of ophthalmology provides a well-equipped facility for the complete examination, diagnosis, and treatment (both medically and surgically) of all ocular diseases in both adult and pediatric patients.

Paediatric Genetics

Department of Paediatric Genetics at Amrita Hospital, Kochi is the first of its kind in Kerala. We provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children affected with various genetic disorders. 

Paediatric Pulmonary and Critical Care

The Department of Paediatric Pulmonary and Critical Care at Amrita Hospital is the first Centre of Excellence in South India dedicated to the diagnosis and management of children with acute and chronic respiratory conditions and critically ill children needing organ support of various kinds.

Paediatric Surgery and Paediatric Urology

The department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric urology treats children from day one to eighteen years of age. All the facilities to take care of children needing surgery are available under one roof. 

Pathology

The Department of Pathology provides comprehensive diagnostic services with emphasis on accuracy, precision and prompt reporting to our patients thereby helping and guiding the clinicians in proper patient management. The department started in 1998 along with the inauguration Amrita Hospital, and since then is located at 6th tower, 3rd floor with easy accessibility to all the clinicians.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is the tertiary phase in the treatment of all human sufferings. Our physiatrists determine treatment plans for the rehabilitation of patients after acute problems are settled.

Poison Control Centre

The Poison Control Centre of Amrita Hospital, Cochin, Kerala was established in 2003. It has a Poison Information Unit that answers queries on poisons/poisoning/envenomation/drug overdose/substance abuse from doctors or hospitals across India, and is even open to the general public.
