Dr. P. Kishore completed his MBBS, MS (General Surgery) and MCh (Plastic Surgery) from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. After completing MCh he did senior residency at JIPMER, Pondicherry (1996 to 1997).
He then underwent microvascular surgical traning for one year and worked in Specilalists Hospital, Kochi as consultant plastic surgeon.
Dr. Kishore has 20 years of experience in reconstructive microvascular surgery, cosmetic surgery and general plastic surgery. His vast experience in limb salvage surgery, peripheral nerve and traumatic brachial plexus and obstetrics brachial plexus injuries are notable. He was also a visiting consultant to GB Panth Hospital, Port Blair, Andaman. He also has enormous experience in reconstruction of congenital deformities like cleft lip, palate palate and hand deformities.
He is one of the members in hand transplant team of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, who have done first successful bilateral hand transplant in India.
Dr. Kishore is a good teacher and has published and presented many papers.
Brachial plexus and peripheral nerve reconstruction, congenital hand anomalies, limb salvage surgeries, super microvascular surgery for lymphedema, breast reconstruction, cosmetic surgeries like rhinoplasty, breast reduction/augmentation, liposuction, abdominoplasty etc.
