Dr Dhanya Chandran is a Clinical Psychologist certified by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), the prime body which provides professional accreditation for practice in India. She completed her education in various universities across the country and has been associated with the institution since 2018. She excels in providing psychological assistance through assessment, counselling, psychotherapy and rehabilitation services for various mental health conditions. She is currently serving as Head of the Department and handles daily out-patient services in the Clinical Psychology Unit as well as Neuropsychology Unit.
In addition, Dr Dhanya is the course coordinator for the MPhil Clinical Psychology programme run by the department . She is actively involved in academic-clinical training and supervision of M.Phil Clinical Psychology trainees. She is also guiding PhD level research work and serves as co-guide for collaborative researches. She has varied research interests and is keen to explore and practice scientific research-oriented paradigms in clinical psychology.
