Dr. Meenakshi Yadav is an experienced senior ophthalmic surgeon with over three decades of clinical experience. She is a Panophthalmologist with expertise in Cataract, Glaucoma, Strabismus & Neuroophthalmology in both adults and children. She had spent over 2 decades at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, where she was the founder Head of Ophthalmology - a department she had setup in 1999. As Professor she had established herself as an astute clinician and a keen academician who has been teaching postgraduates for over 25 years. In 2020 , she moved back to the North India and continued to be Professor Emeritus at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.Dr. Meenakshi was Senior Consultant at Centre For Sight [ Dwarka & Safdurjung Enclave] in 2020-21 at their Dwarka Institute.

  • Neuro-ophthalmology- Managing Optic Neuritis and ocular involvement in Multiple Sclerosis, Visual field & OCT changes in Pituitary & Cranial tumors, Toxic Neuropathies and Paralytic squints
  • Comprehensive management of Ophthalmology patients
  • Lid surgeries including Fasanella & Sling surgeries for Ptosis & Blepharochalasis repair, Cutlet Beard for Lid cancers, Anterior Orbitotomy.
  • Diverse anterior segment surgeries including ocular Trauma injury repair, pterygium excision.
  • She had won the AIOS Travel Trainee Fellowship in 1994 and had spent some time at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.
  • Best Physical Poster award in subspecialty -Glaucoma at Indore in 2019 For her paper on Ocular Blood Flow in 2019
  • Achievement Award from Women’s Ophthalmology Society in 2017 & 2018
