Amrita Hospital, in collaboration with the Manchester Hemophilia Treatment Centre, organized "Hemostasis Dialogues," a one-day conference focusing on the latest advancements and treatments for bleeding disorders. The event brought together experts from the field to discuss innovative approaches and share insights.


The event was inaugurated by Dr. Jecko Thachil, Consultant Hematologist at Manchester University Hospital. Dr. Beena K.V., Additional Medical Superintendent at Amrita Hospital, presided over the inaugural ceremony. "Bleeding disorders are often diagnosed late in India due to a lack of awareness among the general population and limited expertise within the medical community," said experts at Hemostasis Dialogues, a conference organized by Amrita Hospital in collaboration with the Manchester Hemophilia Treatment Centre. They highlighted that delays in performing proper diagnostic tests and achieving accurate diagnoses remain significant challenges, stressing the importance of enhanced education and training in this area.


The event was organized in association with the Hemophilia Federation (India), the Hemophilia Society's Kochi Chapter, and the National Health Mission. Renowned medical professionals, including Dr. Neeraj Sidharthan, Head of the Hemophilia Treatment Centre at Amrita Hospital, Dr. Vivek Nambiar, Head of Stroke Medicine at Amrita Hospital, Dr. Rema G., Dr. Meera, Dr. Monisha Harimadhavan, and Dr. Reema Maria Abraham, led the discussions and sessions during the conference. As part of the event, participants engaged in poster presentations and a quiz competition, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration among attendees.
