Dr. Padma Subramanyam is a renowned Nuclear medicine specialist with pioneering work in lymphoscintigraphy, Sentinel node imaging and biopsy and vascularised lymph node transfer imaging. She has close to 30 years’ experience in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and works in conjunction with Dr. P. Shanmuga Sundaram in all departmental activities and clinical research work. She has been the past President of Society of Nuclear Medicine India – Southern chapter and continues to popularise and remain in mainstream nuclear medicine activities in India.
She is also an ardent teacher and successfully trained many young doctors in Nuclear medicine during their DNB & MD training programmes and also doctors from allied specialities posted in Nuclear medicine from other universities. - Oropharyngeal (swallowing) scintigraphy with differing bolus infusion methods which has been standardised – for swallowing dysfunction esp in videofluruoscopy negative post RT patients.
- Standardization of PETMR protocols for higher patient throughput
