Overview

“Prevention is always better than a cure” has probably got relevance to cardiology more than most other fields of medicine. Heart attacks and strokes, the leading causes of death in our country are caused by blockages to the blood vessels by a process called atherosclerosis. The process of atherosclerosis takes very many years to develop in most cases.
Through the preventive cardiology packages we screen individuals for the risk factors towards developing heart disease and stroke and the necessary health advice to be followed to prevent progression towards atherosclerosis. We would quantify the risk of progression towards disease as a percentage in an individualised manner. The aim of the package is to assess risk and give necessary directions to bring the risk percentage down.
