Dr. Suhas Udayakumaran graduated from Medical College, Calicut in 1999. He completed his master in Surgery from Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai University in the year 2002. He completed his MCh. in Neurosurgery from Seth G.S Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in the year 2005.
He completed his fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery from Tel Aviv University and Dana Childrens Hospital in the year 2010. His Paediatric Neurosurgery training also includes the ISPN courses organized by International Society of Paediatric Neurosurgery.
His work experience includes working in Paediatric Neurosurgery department at B.J. Wadia Childrens Hospital and P.D. Hinduja Hospital and Research Centre at Mumbai.
Amongst his achievement, he is the winner of B Braun Scholarship for Neurosurgery for the year 2004. He was the best outgoing student from King Edward Hospital and Seth G.S. Medical College for MCh Neurosurgery 2004 and a recipient of the MASHAV international scholarship for medical postgraduate exchange programme awarded by Tel Aviv University in the year 2007.
He has more than fifty international publications in peer reviewed journals, book chapters and number of international conference presentations. He is involved in multiple research projects in Neurosurgery in association with the Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine.
Presently, he is a Professor in the Division of Paediatric Neurosurgery and Paediatric Craniofacial Surgery since 2011. In the last few years, the division has emerged as one of the best and leading treatment and academic centres in the country for neurosurgical problems in children.
