Dr. Sobha Subramaniam is a highly experienced pulmonologist with a diverse background, having worked both abroad and in major teaching hospitals. After her education, returning back to India, she initiated the pulmonology department in Amala Cancer Hospital, Thrissur. She joined as the academic faculty when the hospital was converted to a medical school in 2003 and was involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Later on in 2016 she moved over to Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences as Senior Consultant and Professor of Pulmonary Medicine. Her field of interest is varied and ranging from asthma ILD, lung cancers, COPD and sleep disorders. She has done more than 2000 diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopies. Her in-depth knowledge and committed attitude makes her very popular among patients.
