Dr Shikhar Sawhney is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. He is one of the select few in the country to have received training as an MCh in the field. He completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi after which he went to the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh where he completed his MS in ENT. Thereafter, to further super-specialize in Head & Neck Surgery he went on to the coveted Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai where he worked for 5 years with the stalwarts in the field and received his MCh degree. Following his training years, he has worked in Tata memorial centre, Punjab and Apollo Hospitals, Lucknow and has gained vast experience in the field.  

 

Apart from being a thorough clinician, Dr Shikhar is a sound academician and has authored various scientific papers in the field of head and neck and oral oncology and is actively involved in numerous scientific meetings and conferences. He has been awarded several times throughout his training period and his professional career for his presentations at national conferences.
