Dr Nivedita Sarkar is radiation oncologist with a total of 7 years of experience in the specialty. She has trained at the prestigious KIDWAI Cancer Institute, Bangalore where she learned the basics of radiation therapy. During her post-graduation, she got to learn various techniques of radiotherapy like 3DCRT, IMRT and VMAT. She also had the opportunity to train briefly to learn about Cyberknife and Tomotherapy at HCG Hospital, Bangalore. She got exposure to research-oriented activities which helped her gain knowledge as well as confidence not only at the national level but also at international platforms. Then she went ahead to finish my DNB in Radiation Oncology, again from an elite institute of Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital, Bangalore. Here she further learnt about higher-end techniques including a vast knowledge of brachytherapy which consolidated her strong base.
