
Amrita Hospital, Kochi, observed World Kidney Day with an engaging and informative event focused on raising awareness about kidney health. The Department of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation organised the program to educate the public on the importance of maintaining healthy kidneys and the steps that can be taken to prevent kidney disease.
Dr. Beena K.V., Additional Superintendent of Amrita Hospital, inaugurated the event with a special address, emphasizing the significance of kidney health and the role of awareness in preventing kidney-related issues. Following her address, Dr. Rajesh R. Nair, Head of the Department of Nephrology, Dr. Anil Mathew, Clinical Professor in the Department of Nephrology and Dr. George Kurian, Clinical Professor, Department of Nephrology, delivered insightful talks on various aspects of kidney health. Their discussions focused on practical lifestyle changes, such as proper diet, hydration, and the importance of regular health check-ups to prevent kidney disease.
The event also included a flash mo, which encouraged people to take action toward protecting their kidneys, highlighting the importance of early detection and prevention.
