Amrita Hospital, Kochi, recently hosted a one-day cadaveric workshop organized by the hospital's Orthopedics Department, aimed at enhancing the skills of orthopedic surgeons in advanced shoulder surgery techniques. The workshop provided practical, hands-on training to over 20 orthopedic surgeons in two key procedures: Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty, a surgical technique for shoulder joint replacement and Subacromial Balloon Spacer Surgery, which addresses shoulder joint disorders.
Dr. Prathapan Nair, Senior Medical Administrator at Amrita Hospital, inaugurated the workshop. The sessions were conducted by renowned orthopedic surgeons, including Dr. Thadi Mohan, Dr. Prince Shanavas Khan, Dr. Balu C. Babu, and Karthik, who guided the participants through the advanced surgical procedures.
