Strengthening its commitment to accessible specialty healthcare for children, Amrita Hospital, in association with Mata Amritanandamayi Math and Amrita Kripa Specialty Clinic, organized a Free Pediatric Cardiology Medical Camp at Amrita Kripa Specialty Clinic, Vellimadukunnu, Kozhikode.

Held on April 18 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the camp benefitted more than 100 children and their families. The initiative was specially designed for children below 18 years of age, offering expert screening, evaluation, and treatment guidance for congenital and pediatric heart conditions.

The camp was inaugurated by Swami Vivekamritananda Puri, head of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kozhikode. A team of specialists from Amrita Hospital, Kochi, including Dr. C. Sreekumar, Dr. Brijesh P. K., and other doctors, led the consultations and diagnostic services.

As part of the camp, essential cardiac investigations such as ECHO and ECG were provided completely free of cost for children awaiting surgery as well as for those who had previously undergone corrective procedures. The medical team also offered detailed counselling and follow-up guidance to parents regarding further treatment and long-term care.

Amrita Hospital has additionally arranged free surgical support for eligible children with congenital heart disease, bringing renewed hope to families in need of advanced pediatric cardiac care.

Organizers noted that the camp served as a major source of relief and reassurance for many families, reflecting Amrita Hospital’s continued mission to deliver compassionate, expert, and inclusive healthcare to children across the region.
