Dr. Rakhi B

Dr Rakhi B is currently working as Professor in the department of Cardiac Anaesthesia. She joined Amrita Hospital in 2003 where she completed her post-doctoral training in Cardiac Anaesthesia in 2004. Dr Rakhi B has served as a dedicated member of cardiac anaesthesia team for past twenty years . Her key areas of interest are paediatric cardiac anaesthesia and paediatric cardiac intensive care . After a brief period of training in Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital , Stanford, USA, she channelled her efforts in establishing a dedicated paediatric cardiac intensive care unit at Amrita Institute in 2009 with the support of cardiac anaesthesia, paediatric cardiology and paediatric cardiac surgery teams. She has also been involved with training of post graduate students in the specialty of Cardiac anaesthesia at Amrita Viswavidhyapeetham since 2004. She has many publications in indexed journals . Along with members of paediatric cardiac team she has also authored and edited the book 'A Practical Manual of Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care'.
