Dr. Rajasree K.C

Dr. Rajashree K. C graduated from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. She did her post-graduation in Anaesthesiology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and took the Fellowship in Palliative Medicine from Institute of Palliative Medicine, which is a WHO collaborating centre for community participation in palliative care and long term care.
She worked as anaesthesiologist in Kerala State Health Services for two years and joined the palliative care NGO in Government Medical College, Kozhikode in 1999. She actively participated in both clinical and academic activities of the organisation. As part of the community activities, she had involved in training programmes in palliative care across the State for the doctors, nurses and volunteers. 
She joined the Department of Palliative Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences as Assistant Professor in 2020
 

• Twenty five years of experience in palliative care in OP, IP and homecare settings of NGOs with limited resources. 
• Member of the executive council of the Indian Association of Palliative Care -  Kerala State, which is involved in policy decision making and academic activities in Palliative Care activities in Kerala.
• National faculty for the training programmes conducted by the Indian Association of palliative Care, the National forum for palliative care.
   

• Recipient of Padmini Varkey Memorial Award 2023 (given for the women committed and engaged in socially impactful activities).
• Invited faculty for the training programmes and conferences at the State and National levels.
