Dr. K. Pavithran is a highly accomplished medical oncologist and currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at Amrita Hospital, Kochi. Dr. K. Pavithran joined Amrita Hospital, Kochi in 2004. He has 34 years of experience in teaching, clinical and laboratory methods in Haematology and 26 years of experience in the management of solid tumours. His core research interests include breast cancer, lung cancer, GI cancers, gynaecologic oncology, and basic research and drug development. He has presented several scientific papers in national and international conferences and has published more than 300 papers in national and international journals, contributed 35 book chapters, and edited 2 books on cancer. He is a reviewer for many national and international scientific journals.
