Amrita Research Center, Delhi NCR (Amrita Hospital, Faridabad), successfully hosted a three-day hands-on workshop on “Understanding the Logistics & Study Design for Translational Research using Flow Cytometry, Digital & Real-Time PCR Platforms” from October 6–8, 2025. Organized under the guidance of Dr. Ashish Kumar Vyas and funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the workshop brought together researchers, clinicians, and academicians for immersive learning in advanced translational research methodologies.
The first day focused on Flow Cytometry applications, with sessions led by Dr. Amit Awasthi, Dr. Bindhu Paul, Dr. Nirupma Trehanpati, Dr. Shivendra Chourasia, and Dr. Lalitha Biswas, covering both theoretical concepts and hands-on training. Participants also explored the clinical application of PCR techniques, including digital PCR and qPCR, gaining practical experience through laboratory exercises.
Day two emphasized logistics in clinical research, multi-omics integration, AI applications, biomarker development, and funding opportunities. Experts including Dr. Jaswinder Singh Maras, Dr. Sukriti Baweja, Dr. Vijendra Jeph, and Dr. Ginu S. Khan provided insights into bridging academia and industry for translational innovation.
The final day highlighted ethical and regulatory frameworks, human immune monitoring, and T-cell assays, with Dr. Amit Kumar Dinda, Dr. Taruna Madan Gupta, and Dr. Nimesh Gupta guiding participants through case-based translational project design. The workshop concluded with a feedback session, certificate distribution, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Ashish Kumar Vyas, marking the event as a resounding success in fostering practical skills, scientific rigor, and collaborative research in translational medicine.
