Dr. Yaghyavalk Sharma

Dr. Yaghyavalk sharma is a qualified Surgeon and Assistant Professor at Amrita Hospital, with advanced training in laparoscopic surgery and laser proctology. He is committed to providing safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Following completion of postgraduate training in 2021, He gained over three years of experience as a Senior Resident at Amrita Hospital. During this period, He developed strong clinical and operative skills, managing a wide range of elective and emergency surgical cases, while actively contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

He holds advanced certifications in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery (FMAS, MMAS-Hernia) and has a special interest in hernia surgery, laparoscopic procedures and laser proctology.  

His clinical expertise includes the management of hernias and complex anorectal disorders such as piles, fissures, complex fistula and pilonidal sinus using advanced laser techniques, along with other gastrointestinal surgical conditions.

He is also involved in academic activities and serves as a peer reviewer for the journal Cureus.
