Dr. Priyanka Madaan is a paediatric Neurologist who has trained at various centers of repute, and has more than 9 years of experience in paediatric neurology. She did his post-graduation (MD) in paediatrics and DM in paediatric Neurology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She was awarded Sorel Catherine Freymann Book Prize in paediatrics for the best post graduate student for the year 2014. Following this, she worked for 4 years at India’s another premier institute and paediatric Centre, Post graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh as a Pool Officer and Scientist. She excelled both clinically and academically, and has authored more than 100 publications in national and international journals, and also authored several book chapters. Subsequently, she joined as a Consultant and Associate Professor of Paediatric Neurology here. Her field of clinical interest includes various childhood neurological conditions including neurodevelopmental disorder like autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy; childhood epilepsy including epileptic encephalopathies and infantile spasms, dietary therapies for epilepsies, demyelination, autoimmune encephalitis and other autoimmune neurological disorders in children, neurometabolic and neurodegenerative disorders, movement disorders, headache, neuromuscular disorder include Guillain Barre syndrome, Duchenne Muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, neuropathies, etc. Being associated with two premier institutes of India (AIIMS, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh) for more than 10 years, she had a strong academic and research record. Also, she has been a part of workshops (as a Faculty) on Training of Master trainers on diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. She believes in evidence driven care and supports continuing efforts for quality improvement. She holds several reputed positions. She is Deputy Editor of Journal of Tropical Pediatrics. She is commission member of the current International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) Climate Change Commission. She is founding member of South Asian West syndrome Research Group. She is convener of Young Epilepsy Section, Indian Epilepsy Society. She is member of multiple national and international scientific societies like Central Indian Academy of paediatrics (IAP), Delhi IAP, Association of Child Neurology, Indian Epilepsy society and International League Against Epilepsy, and International Child Neurology Association
