Dr. Pranati Sharma is amongst the few women neurosurgeons in India, spearheading the cause of surgical advancements with holistic approach in Neurological and Spine surgery. She has been trained in the latest neurosurgical techniques and has experience in managing several break-through cases with unparalleled results. Her experience stems from being mentored and trained at internationally recognised centres of excellence in Neurosciences, including Mie University, Japan where she was trained in Neuro-oncology and Neuro-vascular surgery and was awarded a Clinical Fellowship. Prior to joining Amrita Hospitals, Faridabad, Dr. Sharma has served as faculty at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh and at Max Superspeciality Hospitals, Delhi. Dr. Sharma is also the first and the only female Neurosurgeon from India to have been conferred the prestigious Fellowship of American College of Surgeons (FACS) in 2021. She is an avid researcher with several publications to her name in National and International Journals and Textbooks. She is also a Reviewer for several International Peer-Reviewed Journals and takes an active interest in teaching and mentoring young neurosurgeons worldwide. Dr. Sharma is an excellent medical illustrator and has contributed several of her illustrations to various reputed textbooks for training of medical students, encompassing multiple surgical specialities, with the most recent being for Oxford University Press. Her primary areas of interest and research include Neuro-oncology and Neuro-vascular surgery. Owing to her global education and training, she is fluent in multiple international languages which has helped her to communicate with ease, lay all apprehensions to rest and establish a personal connect while treating patients from various countries across the globe.
