Dr. Dr. Neha Choudhary is one of the few female Interventional Neuroradiologists in India, trained at the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. She did her MBBS from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, and her MD Radiodiagnosis from Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati. Dr. Choudhary completed DM in Neuroimaging and Interventional Neuroradiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, one of the top institutions in India. During her DM course, she developed a passion for neuro interventions, mainly mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke, management of intracranial aneurysms, cerebral AVMs, pial and dural AVFs, spinal interventions, and the like. Apart from neuro interventions, she is also trained in various vascular and non-vascular body interventions. She is also an expert in neuroimaging, with a particular interest in advanced MR imaging techniques like fMRI, DTI, etc. Before joining Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, she was an Assistant professor at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Jodhpur. She has authored more than 12 publications in national and international journals. She did extensive research on “Vessel wall imaging in CNS infections” during her tenure at PGIMER, Chandigarh, and published three original articles in the “Neuroradiology” journal.

  • Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke,
  • Endovascular management of intracranial aneurysms (Unassisted/Stent assisted/Balloon assisted coiling, Flow diverter placement, Intrasaccular device placement),
  • Embolization procedures for cerebral AVMs and pial & dural AVFs,
  • CCF embolization,
  • Carotid stenting,
  • Intracranial stenting for ICAD,
  • Spinal interventions (AVF / AVM embolizations),
  • Various vascular and non-vascular body interventional procedures including bronchial artery embolization, uterine artery embolization, TACE/DEB-TACE, TARE, RFA, Cryoablations, limb angioplasties, stenting, TIPS/DIPS, TJLB, percutaneous and endovascular embolizations of pseudoaneurysms, PTBD, PCN, biopsy, FNAC, etc.
  • Advanced Neuroimaging (MRI & CT) including fMRI, DTI, Perfusion, ASL, MRS, cisternography, myelography, etc.
  • Life member of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA),
  • Life member of the Indian Society of Neuroradiology (ISNR),
  • Life member of the Indian Society for Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR),
  • Life member of the Society of Therapeutic Neuro Interventions (STNI)
  • Recipient of “Young Practitioner Grant” in LINCC Seminar 2022- Asia edition (SINGAPORE).
  • Selection as “Academy” in SLICE Worldwide Conference on Stroke Management, Montpellier, FRANCE (Oct 2022).
  • First prize in paper presentation on “Characterization of adrenal lesions: Comparison of gradient echo techniques and role of Spectroscopy” at IRIA conference- Assam 2016.
  • JRD TATA Trust Scholarship 2008, 2009 & 2010.
  • Excellence in academic award 2008, Grant Medical College, Academic council.
  • Distinction in Pharmacology & Microbiology (MUHS UG university exam).
  • Winner of Quiz competition IRIA- Assam 2015 and 2016
  • Presented many oral papers and posters at various national and international conferences.
