Dr. Jaya Agarwal has eight years of experience in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery and Solid Organ Transplant. When she joined Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, she brought with her the in-depth knowledge and expertise she acquired from the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery and Liver Transplant at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, the department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at GB Pant Institute of Medical Education and Research, New Delhi, and the Department of General Surgery at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.  

After being the best outgoing postgraduate resident in MS General Surgery from PGIMER Chandigarh she went on to pursue MCh in Gastrointestinal Surgery and Solid Organ Transplant from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham(Kochi). During her superspeciality training she was actively involved in innumerable complex HPB, GI surgeries and Solid Organ Transplants. She was also trained in complex vascular surgery during the same time period.  Her keen interest in research has made her win multiple awards at National and International conferences.

She has received advanced training in colorectal surgery (FALS Colorectal Fellowship, Chennai). Besides she has attained Fellowship in advanced HPB surgery (by the prestigious IHPBA Association of India) and Fellowship in Liver Transplant and Organ retrieval (by the Liver Transplant Society of India).

She is also a life member of the prestigious IHPBA, IMA and IAGES associations of India.
