Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, commemorated Founder’s Day, marking the 72nd birthday of Satguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), with a grand celebration. The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Deepak Vohra (Retd. IFS), His Excellency Dr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, and Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE, who joined as Chief Guest and Guests of Honour. 

The program began with auspicious prayers, lamp lighting, and the honoring of dignitaries, followed by a short film on Amma’s life highlighting her humanitarian initiatives. Swami Nijamritananda Puri shared inspiring insights on Amma’s eternal message of love, compassion, and selfless service. Shri Deepak Vohra engaged the audience with an enlightening talk on nation-building, while Prof. T.G. Sitharam commended Amrita University’s achievements and motivated students to become role models in society. 

Adding a special touch to the celebration, 13-year-old Aleesha Maaria Misbah from Colombo, Sri Lanka, shared her inspiring journey. Born with Achondroplasia and severe bowing of both legs, Aleesha underwent robotic deformity correction under the expert care of Dr. Pritish Singh, Head of Paediatric Orthopaedics, restoring her mobility. Aleesha’s heartfelt rendition of the song ‘Perfect’ deeply moved the audience, leaving an emotional impact on the event The cultural program at Amrita Hospital showcased the creativity and unity of the Amrita community. Performances included a soulful music band led by Dr. Prashant Mehta, artistic presentations by Allied Health Sciences students, and traditional Kerala folk dance and Theyyam by Nursing students. B.Tech, Nursing, and MBBS students added energy and grace with contemporary and innovative performances that captivated the audience.

The event concluded with the distribution of Amma’s booklet and chocolates to all participants, spreading joy and blessings throughout the hospital. Founder’s Day 2025 at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, was a memorable celebration — a perfect blend of devotion, cultural vibrancy, and community spirit, reflecting Amma’s vision of compassion, service, and unity.
