Dr. Pravas Mishra is a highly accomplished Hematologist/ Hemato-oncologist who has trained at various centers of repute both in India and abroad. He has 17 years of experience post his DM in clinical Hematology from AIIMS, New Delhi. He did his post-graduation (MD) in Internal Medicine from the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Wardha in Maharashtra. Following this, he completed his DM in clinical Hematology from India’s premier medical college, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He continued as a faculty at AIIMS, New Delhi and served in various positions including Professor of Hematology till 2017. He has authored more than 100 publications in national and international journals, and has also authored book chapters in publications by Association of Physicians India and Indian Academy of Pediatrics among others. He has fellowships from Kings College, London UK; Hammersmith hospital London UK; Westmead Hospital Sydney Australia; City of Hope Hospital, LA , USA. He has been awarded the Geeta Medal award for best research in Oncology at AIIMS; the Royal College of Physicians, UK international Bursary; Endeavour executive award from Department of Science and Technology ; Australia; Harold Gunson fellowship from ISBT and the Young Investigator award from the Asia Pacific congress for Thrombosis Hemostasis.
In 2017, he moved to Max Superspecialist hospital , Patparganj and Vaishali where he set up the Blood and Marrow Transplant unit (BMT). He has performed all varieties of stem cell transplants for Hematological disorders including matched unrelated transplants and haploidentical transplants.
He has joined Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, Delhi NCR in August 2022 as a Professor of Hematology and BMT in the department of Hematology/ Medical oncology and BMT.
