Paediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Diseases at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, has made a remarkable achievement by successfully performing Asia's first-ever Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Replacement (TPVR) using the Harmony Valve.

The groundbreaking intervention was conducted on two adult patients, aged 24 and 41, both of whom got discharged and are in excellent health. This achievement represents a significant milestone in cardiac care.

The procedure was led by Dr. S Radhakrishnan, Head, Department of Paediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Diseases, who was accompanied by Dr. Sushil Azad, Deputy Head, Department of Paediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Diseases.

This achievement showcases Amrita Hospital's commitment to advancing medical science and providing innovative treatments to patients.

TPVR with the Harmony Valve offers a less invasive alternative to traditional open-heart surgery, resulting in faster recovery and improved patient outcomes.
