Guest House

The visitor lodging is a temporary lodging facility for bystanders of inpatients. Located on the Amrita Hospital campus, the building provides affordable housing with easy access to the hospital. To make arrangements for accommodations, please report at the Inpatient Admissions Counter No. 4 in A Block at Ext. 2071.

Once the patient is taken to the operating or procedure area, the bystander must vacate the room as well and seek accommodation in the guest house to make room for newly admitted waiting patients and their bystanders.

The bystander must be available by telephone during and after any surgery or procedure so the hospital can convey any message concerning the condition of the patient. Bystanders should alert the guest house or the ICU/ward nursing staff / ICU lobby staff as to where they can be contacted. Bystander should leave his / her mobile number with the unit nurse, so that he / she can be contacted in case of an emergency. Once the patient is brought back from the ICU/CCU or from the procedure room, the bystander who vacated the room may again be provided a bed near the patient.

Travel Desk

Travel Desk Services at Amrita Hospital provides the following facilities.

  • Arrange tickets (railway, bus and air tickets) for travel for our patients, bystanders, staff and students
  • Provides all information regarding travel to any destination
  • Hotel booking
  • Passport registration and renewal
  • Visa processing
  • Recharge (mobile and DTH)
  • Bill payments (water, electricity, LIC and prepaid mobile bills)

To avail Travel Desk facilities please report at Counter Nos. 19 & 20 in A Block or at Ext. 8367, 8370.

Transportation Services

Transportation services are provided by Amrita Hospital through the hospital car pool, on request. If you need a hired car, please contact the car pool (Dial 2777 / 2795).

Banking

The Dhanlaxmi Bank has a fully-fledged branch in the hospital premises for the convenience of the patients, staff and for the community as a whole. ATM counter of Dhanlaxmi Bank is located near the main gate of the hospital.

Cafeteria & Canteen

Visitors’ Canteen
Your visitors are welcome to use the Visitors’ Canteen, located outside the main hospital building near the entrance to Tower 3. The canteen hours are from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM every day. Tea, snacks, lunch and dinner are provided here on payment.

Fast Food Canteen
Fast Food Canteen is located near the guest house and is open from 5.30 AM to 1.00 AM

Non-Vegetarian Canteen
This Canteen provides reasonably priced non-vegetarian food with great ambience.

Juice Stall
There is a juice stall near the car pool where coffee and soft drinks are available.

Post Office

A Post Office is situated at the ground floor of the guest house building. Office will be functioning from 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM (Ext. 8300).

Supermarket

You can avail the services of our supermarket to purchase groceries. It is located near the main gate of the hospital.

Book Stall

The Book Stall is located at the main gate of the hospital complex. All purchases must be paid for at the time of the purchase. Proceeds from sales are used to fund the M.A. Math’s charitable activity projects.

Hours: Monday - Saturday 9:30am to 6:30pm.

Lost and Found

If you lose any valuables or you have left something behind, please contact, ext 1019.

Translators

We will be happy to provide language translators when needed. Please notify the International Marketing Office in advance if you require a translator.

Information Center

The Information Center/ May I Help You is open from 6.00am to 9:00pm every- day and is located in the Main Entrance. (Dial ext. 6070). After 9 pm Information Counter will be functional at the Casualty Entrance (Dial ext. 6666, 6039).

Mentors

Amrita Hospital has a group of dedicated volunteers who will call upon you during your admission. They will visit you daily or as and when required. Please feel free to share your concerns with them and they will speak to the concerned for making your stay comfortable, as possible.
