Dr. Naveen Viswanath underwent training in Advanced Paediatric Minimal Access Surgery at University Medical Centre, Mainz, Germany in 2006. He joined Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in March 2007 as Assistant Professor of Paediatric Surgery. He has also worked as Fellow in Paediatric Surgery at The Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand during 2007 – 2008 and subsequently in Paediatric Urology at The Starship Children’s Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand during 2008 - 2009.

  • R.K.Gandhi Gold Medal in DNB Paediatric Surgery Examination from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, June 2005
  • First Rank in MCh Paediatric Surgery examination, Mumbai University, August 2005.
  • Gold Medal in M.S. General Surgery Examination from Goa University in October, 2001.
  • Laxmibai Raghunath Shirodkar Prize in the year 2001 from University of Goa.
