Dr. Annamma Mathai is a trained immunopathologist from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. She has worked as a scientist in Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram for more than three and a half decades, on immunopatholgy and diagnostic immunology of neurotuberculosis as well as autoimmune neurological disorders.

  • NAMS award 2001
    Recipient of “Sir Shriram Memorial” award for the best scientific publication for the year 2001 by the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) New Delhi.
  • ICMR award 1993
    Recipient of “Chaturvedi Ghanshyam Das Jaigopal award for the research conducted in the field of Central Nervous System Tuberculosis” given  by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi in the year 1993.
  • Award of a book from PGIMER - 1981
    Recipient of the award of a book at the XI Annual convocation in recognition of performance during M.Sc MLT degree course.
